CEREC® is short for Chairside Economical Restorations of Esthetic Ceramics. Once 3D images are captured, they can be uploaded into dedicated software so Dr. Chris Meletiou, Dr. Jim Meletiou, and Dr. Caleb Rainey can review the appearance and fit of a restoration in detail. The software can also help patients preview what the finished restoration may look like.
After the design is approved, the files are sent to the CAM system, which fabricates the restoration to the design’s exact specifications. CAD/CAM technology can improve efficiency and accuracy, and in many cases it can reduce the total number of visits needed to complete treatment.
Digital X-Ray Imaging
Digital x-rays typically require less radiation than traditional film x-rays.
