Insurance Coverage

Dental coverage works differently than medical coverage, and many patients are not fully familiar with what their specific dental plan includes. The benefits available to you are determined by the agreement negotiated between your employer and your insurance carrier, not by our office. We recommend reviewing the benefit booklet your employer provided so you have a clear picture of what your plan covers. Because every employer negotiates different terms, the portion you are responsible for paying toward a given procedure will vary from patient to patient.

At the time of your treatment, we will give you an estimate of what your insurance company is expected to cover, based on the details they share with us. Please keep in mind that this figure is only an estimate and is never a guarantee of what will actually be paid. As a courtesy, our office submits insurance claims on your behalf, though doing so does not shift your financial responsibility onto the insurance carrier. Should the amount your insurer pays turn out to be higher or lower than the original estimate, you will either receive a credit on your account or be billed for the remaining balance. If you have any questions about our financial policies or available financing before your treatment begins, please reach out to us.
